Photonic Solar Solutions was founded at the start of 2019 by Johannes van Zyl. Johannes came to Australia
in 2007 from South Africa. He combining his electrical and teaching experience from SA and quickly
obtained his Australian electrical licence and worked in the solar industry to gain the necessary solar PV
experience. Johannes holds all relevant CEC endorsements and well as contractors� licences.
The company started off with services to home owners in the ACT, however due to demand, services are
offered across the NSW boarder spanning to the coast with some current projects as far south as the
Victorian boarder. Photonic Solar provides excellence in the design, supply and installation for PV solar and
battery storage systems, with great focus on providing home owners with correct and viable information to
assist them with decisions on their PV solar investments. The company is also well known for using high
quality equipment and staying on top of new technologies as well as the implementing thereof.
Johannes is also a trainer and assessor of solar PV and battery at Canberra Institute of Technology with the
company providing consultation services to current and ex-students working in the field of solar PV.
Johannes� main focus is to serve the community and therefore has kept his focus on the home owner,
making sure that no job is too small to warden his attention.
